"Cartridge, Capsule, and Mini-Capsule filter devices seem so similar, what is really different about them?"
A question that many have. Let's answer that for you!
The device used for your filtration needs depends on the volume, setup of your filtration system, and application. Cartridge filters must be installed in a housing, but this allows you to scale the process up as needed by increasing the size of the housing being used. This would require sterilization after installation for any application where sterilization is needed. Capsule filters are a ready-to-use version of cartridge filters as they do not need to be installed in a housing and they can be pre-sterilized. Capsules are more compact and help to protect the operator and the environment from dangerous substances, due to their ease of use and disposable nature. Mini capsules are used for small-volume batches, or research and development projects that would require scale-up.
