Our ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facility is located in Nashua, New Hampshire, where we assemble and package all of our products in a clean-room environment. Critical Process cartridge, capsule, and laboratory products are being used today by leading companies in the life sciences, food and beverage, healthcare, water purification, and technology industries. Summary of Role:
The Operations Manager oversees and directs the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, with primary responsibility for Production, Purchasing, and Facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production, timely procurement of materials and services, effective facility and equipment management, and compliance with company quality, safety, and operational standards.
The Operations Manager will manage production schedules, purchasing activities, inventory and materials, facility maintenance, equipment utilization, and operational resources while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, control costs, and support customer delivery requirements. The Operations Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities:
- Directs and oversees all aspects of production operations, including production planning, scheduling, workflow management, staffing, capacity planning, and equipment utilization.
- Oversees purchasing and procurement activities, including sourcing materials, components, supplies, equipment, and outside services to support production and business operations.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with suppliers and works with internal teams to ensure materials are available when needed while maintaining appropriate cost, quality, and delivery standards.
- Oversees inventory levels, material availability, purchasing requirements, and resource allocation to minimize production interruptions, excess inventory, and waste.
- Directs and oversees facility operations and maintenance, including building systems, production areas, clean-room environments, utilities, and general facility needs.
- Ensures proper maintenance, repair, and availability of machinery, equipment, and production facilities to minimize downtime and support safe and efficient operations.
- Implements and maintains operational procedures in compliance with ISO 9001 and company standards.
- Monitors production, purchasing, inventory, facility, and operational KPIs and drives continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality, and support on-time delivery.
- Coordinates with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production, timely procurement, effective facility management, and timely delivery of products.
- Manages production and operations staff, including hiring, training, performance management, development, and scheduling.
- Leads safety initiatives and ensures compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulatory requirements throughout production and facility operations.
- Develops and manages operational budgets, monitors expenses related to production, purchasing, and facilities, and identifies opportunities for cost savings and improved resource utilization.
- Supports capacity planning and long-term operational planning to accommodate business growth and changing customer requirements.
- Ensures appropriate controls are in place for contractors, outside service providers, facility vendors, and other operational partners.
- Identifies operational risks and develops contingency plans to maintain production and facility continuity.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned, according to the needs of the business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing operations role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Experience overseeing production, purchasing/procurement, and facilities or maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, process improvement methodologies, inventory management, purchasing practices, and ISO 9001 standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with manufacturing software, ERP/inventory systems, purchasing systems, spreadsheets (Excel), and word processing (Word).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, production reports, purchase requirements, technical documents, and facility-related documentation.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, management, suppliers, contractors, and customers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and departments while meeting production schedules, purchasing requirements, and facility needs.
- Strong understanding of cost control, supplier management, inventory management, and operational budgeting.
- Willingness to work on Saturdays as required.
- Ability to adjust work hours, including starting early or staying late, to meet business needs.
