For over 25 years, CPF has been designing filtration products and our own machinery with the goal of becoming the number one manufacturer of process filters. We supply high-quality filters for companies in diverse industries from bio-pharmaceutical to wine and beer, juices to auto airbags. CPF is an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facility located in Nashua, New Hampshire, and is where we assemble and package all of our products in a clean-room environment. Job Summary:
CPF has an exciting opening in our Nashua location for a Production Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing daily manufacturing operations while ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety expectations are consistently achieved. You will manage production personnel, coordinate resources, monitor operational performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize efficiency and productivity. This position also supports production planning activities by coordinating production schedules, balancing customer demand with available resources, and ensuring materials and equipment are available to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong manufacturing experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to developing employees and improving operational performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery goals are consistently achieved.
- Supervise, coach, train, and develop production employees while fostering a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
- Monitor production performance, identify operational issues, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, ISO requirements, and all applicable safety regulations.
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, quality, engineering, and plant management to ensure alignment on production priorities and business objectives.
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, resource availability, and manufacturing capacity.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure materials are available to support uninterrupted production.
- Analyze manufacturing processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
- Utilize production systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor productivity, and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional departments to resolve production issues, scheduling conflicts, and manufacturing delays.
- Prepare production and operational reports, analyze performance trends, and provide recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and overall manufacturing performance.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned, according to the needs of the business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field with 4 + years of experience
- Proven managerial experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and process improvement techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to assess data and make informed decisions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in using scheduling software and other relevant systems.
